"Dittie"

So today we were shopping at Target and had to go down the neccessary but uncomfortable isle known as "Feminine Products" (although $2.5 billion was spent on feminine hygiene products last year, I'd like to get in on that action). Now there are the usual Tampax, Platex, and Always brands in their color coded boxes and styles. But we noticed this new brand called "Dittie."

First of all, there are drawings of girls on the boxes. Cute girls. These products looked like they were from Europe or something. We were wary. We also noticed that all the girls were "ethnic." Now, being an anglo-saxon, I took offense to the underrepresentation. Thankfully, on the backsides of the boxes there were pictures of my own people. Who chooses which side of the box gets to face the shopper?

Anyway, you can read all about it here.
